The Anatomy of Earthquakes, and Tsunamis. Willie McDonald. A short summary of this paper. Each are cause by excess pressure in the crust, and not by the movement of tectonic plates. The excess pressure is generated either by the hydraulic fracking, ignition of natural gas in the crust, and volcanic activity.

The first type is called natural gas earthquakes NGE. These earthquakes are caused, when natural gas in the lower crust comes in contact with molten material plume tails in the lower crust, and is ignited.

The gas is ignited, explodes, and the pressure, or expanding gases moves the crust. The second type of earthquake is called a volcanic earthquake. These types of earthquakes are caused with excess pressure from the lower mantle forces magma, and pressure up through volcanic pathways to the surface.
